The Importance of Financial Advice

At OzPlan Financial Services we recognise the individuality of every client and tailor our investment solutions specifically to your unique needs.

We help you achieve greater financial independence by implementing strategies to build your wealth over time.

Our Financial Advisers are experts who specialise in customising financial strategies designed to meet your financial goals and achieve your desired lifestyle.

Seeking financial advice is a smart move, regardless of your age or circumstances, as it ensures your finances are well-organized for both the present and the future.

While you can seek advice at any time, certain life events may prompt you to do so. Examples include:

  • starting a new job
  • having children
  • buying your first home
  • investing inside and outside of superannuation
  • paying off debts
  • caring for family members
  • taking a career break
  • moving to part-time work
  • retirement.

That said, you don’t need a trigger event to get advice. If you have questions about your super or finances, it’s wise to get things sorted as soon as possible.

Advisers are dedicated to getting to know you. They’ll ask you a series of questions to better understand your situation, such as:

  • why you’re seeking advice
  • what your goals are
  • what your current financial situation is

Based on your answers, your adviser, with your consent, will create a comprehensive financial plan that includes recommendations, strategies, and projections tailored to your needs.  They will also implement the advice, including helping with any necessary paperwork and monitor the progress of any applications or transactions – so you don’t need to.

You can choose to check in with your planner annually to ensure everything remains on track.

Your initial consultation with a financial planner is complimentary, and there’s no obligation to move forward with a personalised financial plan. If you decide to proceed with a tailored financial plan, the cost will depend on its complexity. For advice related to your superannuation, you may be able to opt to pay the relevant fee from your super, as opposed to your bank account.

Many young people mistakenly believe that they don’t need financial advice. However, the earlier you seek advice, the more prepared you’ll be for the future. Whether your goal is to purchase a home, travel, or ensure your investments and insurance are in order, a financial adviser can help.
