1946

After decorated service in the AIF and the RAAF during World War II, Maxwell Brown had returned to Shepparton as an employee of the Bank of NSW.
The business we know today as MB+M Chartered Accountants, began on 29th June 1946 as an Accountancy – Taxation Business.
The firm was named after its founder Maxwell Brown.
In those formative days the business consisted of one secretary, whose only technical aid was an old Imperial typewriter, and Maxwell Brown himself.
The original business was located at 370 Wyndham Street Shepparton, and the first client was the late Mr Rupert Wright (father of Lloyd and Graeme) who conducted a hardware business.
